3 Reasons Why Benzema Will Not Sign For Manchester United

There are a few rumors about Karim Benzema in both the English and Spanish press at the moment but they don’t have any basis. It is, as we all know, the creativity of the press during the holidays period which has one goal in mind; to sell more copies.
But even assuming that these rumors are true, I still can’t see Benzema moving to Manchester United. At least not before next summer.
Here are the three obvious reasons:
1) We Don’t Have Strikers!
Yes! Ruud is injured and Raùl can’t be relied upon. We only have Higuaín and Benzema as pure strikers. Ronaldo can and is playing as a striker, but it is not his primary position. The point is, If we sell Benzema in January, and Higuaín gets injured? We are dead! We will only be relying on Ronaldo and Raul (assuming we don’t sign someone else — but what’s the point?) and that would be crazy!
2) We’ve Just Signed The Guy!
Seriously, he only came in the summer and has had a good season (I know many of you want to debate about this), so it is highly unlikely that he leaves although Real Madrid are famous for making dump decisions sometimes!
3- There Is No Point In Selling Him
So what’s the point of selling Benzema? Is he creating problems within the squad? No. Is he competing with other strikers who are better than him (in this case Raùl & Ruud) No. Are we going to buy a world-class striker (Villa? Maybe, but once Villa puts pen on paper, we can think about it then). And last but not least, is he awful? No
So as you can see, selling Benzema doesn’t make sense. Unless Fergie offers Real a sum of €50m or above, Perez won’t even listen.
Karim has everything to be the best striker in the world. He just needs some time and faith. It is fair to evaluate his performances with the team, but do it after the season ends.
