Chelsea’s to Lose Now

The Premier League title race is by no means over, but with four games to play and with a lead of at least four points (three if Arsenal claim the London derby), Chelsea are going to be very
difficult to catch, and it looks like Premiershp-rookie Carlo Ancelotti and his players are keeping their heads while all about them are losing theirs.

The home side weren’t anything special in their 1-0 win over Bolton, and John Terry appears to be leading a charmed life when it comes to refereeing decisions (yes, Bolton should have had a
penalty after the Chelsea captain used his arm to block a Lee Chung-Yong cross); but at this stage of the season, it’s all about efficiency and effectiveness, and Ancelotti is getting just that
out of his players.

Results rather than performances mean points – and Chelsea are getting them now, when it really counts.

If Arsenal want to remain with any chance of capturing the title, they cannot afford to drop points at White Hart Lane and are going to have to show the same resolve that Chelsea did in their
so-called “easy game” against Bolton. There are no easy ones, Sir Alex, and I’m sure the Chelsea players will agree with me on that after their bloody encounter with the Trotters; every one is
a battle – and right now, Chelsea look to have more fight in them than the other two horses in the race.
