Hill-Wood Shut Your Mouth Please..
A great player from an eon ago once wrote devoted a chapter of his autobiography to one single subject, “The Average Director’s Knowledge of Football”. It consisted of a single, BLANK
page. It’s an old story and one that has been mentioned many times since but it is still a truism. As such you wonder why our beloved Chairman, Peter Hill-Wood, ever opens his mouth. His latest
comments seem to have upset Cesc & Arsene (though this is a media story so probably they couldn’t really give a toss about it) and have led to the press (who didn’t need an excuse to)
having the opportunity to write even more “Cesc to Barcelona” stories.
Word to the wise, Peter, keep your trap shut unless you happen be the subject of a particularly interesting interview. if that is the case then please feel free to talk but keep it short and
sweet and avoid any actual football stories. Mention your upbringing and problems with the servants but stay away form the sporting stuff. Personally I blame Arseblogger for this – he’s seen the celebrity to be had in the media and that’s the truth!
Anyway we have a game on Sunday with any out patients that are still standing, a centre half pairing with a combined age of 69 and Eduardo and his misfiring shooting boots. Whatever, let’s see
them get three points after United & Chelsea have lost their derbies (lucky heather, rabbit’s foot, horseshoe and fingers crossed!!)
