Iniesta Out For Arsenal
There is a heavy price to pay for yesterday’s victory at Mallorca. after tests this morning it has been confirmed that Andres Iniesta has a small tear in the femoral biceps muscle in his right thigh which will see him on the sidelines for ten days. Iniesta was injured in the 49th minute of yesterday’s game in Mallorca and will now miss the big Champions League game on Wednesday at Arsenal and also our league match with Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, while it will be touch and go whether he can make it in time for the return game with Arsenal next Tuesday.
There was a time when the loss of Iniesta would have been seen as a massive loss, but his form this season has not been so decisive. It was good to see a good performance from Seydou Keita in Mallorca and he will probably form a midfield trio with Sergio Busquets and Xavi Hernandez on Wednesday.
