Maradona criticized United Emirates referees
Former argentine soccer legend Diego Armando Maradona criticized the United Arab Emirates referees after the team he coaches, Al Wasl, achieved only a draw in a league match.
“Arbitration is bad. If I have focus on the mistakes of referees would drive me crazy,” said Maradona.
His team, based in Dubai, tied to two on Saturday in the area of Al Shabab, in parts of the UAE Professional League.
“Al Shabab players purposely lost time during the game without seeing red card, on the contrary were in my team,” added Maradona.
“I feel sad about the level of arbitration. The referees should be fair,” he said.
The argentine coach often object to the decisions of the referees in games his team plays. He will coach Al Wadl from May through existing contract for two years.
