Why Real should say no to Mourinho

With speculation rife over the Portuguese’s future, the “special one” could be heading out of Italy, and heading for the Spanish capital. Many times the outspoken manager, has
stated his dislike for the Italian media and feels as though he is treated unfairly by everyone outside Inter. This is a vast contrast to his days at Chelsea, were his ego was boosted weekly by
the press who worshipped the former Blues boss. If he was in fact to move to Real, the club in my eyes after taking one step forward with this new squad, and a new manager would be forced to
take two steps back.

As I have mentioned above, his relationship towards the press varies but I think we can all agree by saying the Spanish and Italian media hold a likeness, rather than in England. as
manager of such a highlighted club, you need to be professional and have a calmness about your personality. This is something we have now with Manuel Pellegrini, whom despite constant knocking
of his performance remains focussed on the task rather than responding which is very likely Mourinho will do.

Tactics. Know I have spoken too many people about Mourinho’s philosophy out on the pitch, and the general feeling is that he is far too defensive as a coach a word which shouldn’t
be whispered at the Santiago Bernabeu. Others have said that he adapts to certain situations, like he did in the Camp Nou. But I believe if asked to win 4-1, or 1-0 he would time and time again
choose the latter option. This defensive preference, is something which saw him booted out of Chelsea as the owner desired more expansive football. I can only hope that we are not in the same
situation come the end of next term, and that Mr Perez keeps the faith with Pellegrini.
