Recaps from Patriot League Games Earlier in the Day:

at Bucknell 17, Marist 16

Bucknell (2-2) came through with the big play when it counted, blocking a Marist (1-3) extra point with less than a minute to go to hold on for a 17-16 victory. It was a wild final few minutes, with Bucknell tying the score at 10-10 on a field goal by Drew Orth with 4:54 left. The Bison took their first lead of the game on a touchdown run by Marcello Trigg with 1:51 to go. Marist appeared to have it tied with 48 seconds left, but Michael Tonge blocked the extra point. Marist recovered the ensuing onsides kick, and moved up the field for a 28-yard field goal attempt that sailed wide right as the Bison hung on. Bucknell won despite being outgained, 368-168, and giving up more than 40 minutes in time of possession to Marist.

Princeton 17 at Lehigh 14

The Mountain Hawks (0-3) outgained Princeton (1-1), 332-163, but could not overcome a 14-0 deficit in a loss at home. Chris Lum came off the bench at quarterback to lead the comeback effort, and brought Lehigh within 17-14 on a five-yard touchdown run with just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Mountain Hawks had one more chance with the ball, but turned it over on downs and fell to 0-3 on the season.

Howard 14 at Georgetown 11

The Hoyas (0-4) trailed Howard (1-2) 14-3 going into the fourth quarter, but cut it to 14-11 on a touchdown pass from Isaiah Kempf threw a 17-yard scoring pass to Dishon Hughes with 8:20 left. Georgetown had one final possession from its own 20, but Kempf threw an interception and the Hoyas fell to 0-4.

Stay tuned during the half, where we’ll check in with a brief synopsis of each of the afternoon games on the Patriot League schedule and more news from around the League.
