Henry’s hand: your opinions
At this point we all know already about this fact: a clamorous hand of Henry helped France to qualify for the next World cup of South Africa, to the detriment of an indignant Ireland. The clamor of the Irishes has come even to the high instances, and the fact is that up to the Foreign Secretary he has asked for the repetition of the party, end rejected already by the FIFA.
The first thing that one thinks when it knows these political reactions is of incredulity: with all the problems that they flog to his country does it find time to get into these more mundane topics? Then one reflects on the consequences and the economic impact of not classification of the Irishes for the maximum world competition and understands it a little more.
What do you think about this matter? there reminds the case between others to that of Messi’s hand, and it produced the same sensations to me that now. Certainly the player is not guilty: a player tries to win as it is, tries to obtain his maximum benefit and tansgredir the rules for it it is a human attitude. The function of the umpire is to prevent and to sanction these actions, and here the collegiate one failed clamorosamente, when all the indicators were pointing at Henry’s infraction. And so: should the party recur? Does it should Henry to be sanctioned? Is it necessary to improve the systems to prevent moves of this type from keeping on happening?
