In favor of the premiums in the soccer
My partner Jaime Iglesias has published a post expressing his surprise for the premiums that Florentino Pérez has agreed with the captains of Real Madrid, which sum might approach very much the million euros. It is not that it is against of what he has written, not much less, but I have my own opinion and I would like expressing it.
In effect it is a very high sum and yes, it shocks a little that Florentine is still ready to the pocket scratch after the enormous investment that did this summer, the famous persons 200 millions (more or less) that one spent in CR9, Kaká, Benzemá, Xabi Alonso, Albiol… But it is clear that, as if he was buying On average Markt, Florentine is not dumb. Because in fact the cousins would not suppose an expense to major, so if he has to pay them, it is because Madrid has been done by these qualifications (or one of them), what undoubtedly, he will suppose an economic benefit. Already not only straight, that is to say, for the money that the UEFA gives for spending every qualifying round of played Champions, but also by implication: if Madrid gains League and Champions (or one of the two) will get fed up to sell T-shirts and will obtain more advertizing contracts.
And so, the premiums, more than an extra pay, are a benefits share-out. If the workpeople make to gain more money the company, the direction will reward them with a part of these benefits. It does not matter that these workpeople are already millionaire, I do not see any ethical problem in it. I hope the president of a bank was distributing the benefits with the inspectors or that the proprietor of a restaurant they of an extra pin money to his bartenders if the place goes better. In three cases, soccer players, inspectors and bartenders, the workpeople expire with his obligation, with what they have signed in the contract, but if the chief wants to reward them: what problem is there?
Another topic is that of the briefcases; I do not agree so in that a team pays him to other so that it gains a party against a third one, although I am not opposed taxativamente either. And logically, I am completely against that it is paid to someone for losing. But I see this type of incentives well. I understand that it sounds badly that I Christen or Kaká still gain more pasta, but the cousins would suppose more 10 % in the salary, like much. Nevertheless, I think about the people as Arbeloa, Marcelo or the canteranos that will be entering, and I am glad that if his team triumphs, they are rewarded with a money that to them yes an important bonus will suppose them. And the same costs for any other team of soccer or company: welcome is that the benefits are distributed with the workpeople.
