Joan Laporta: who do you believe that you are?
It is for a long time that Joan Laporta has lost the north. His compass only marks a direction, that of his political career. And in his way wire drawing has left to everything that one that stopped being useful for his target; the first one, Sandro Rosell and, since then, I do not know how many vice-presidents and managers. Since everything him has gone so well (supposedly, because it is still still to see what will provide the future) it is so large that it even has dared to put Pep Guardiola in a public foul-up:
The club needs an answer on his continuity before April.

Before putting ourselves with the matter, let’s summarize how the implied personages have come so far. Joan Laporta came to the presidency of the Soccer Club Barcelona gaining a few elections against any prognosis, with a campaign based on two columns: the signing of David Beckham and his clear opposition to the ways of the age Núñez. It did not fulfill the promise of the signing of the English star, which went away to Florentine’s Real Madrid, and had to pull the Rosell contacts to bring to him Ronaldinho like compensation. And eight years later, it has demonstrated to be many more presidencialista that his Josep Lluis Núñez and his ways (there be read the pants bend in an airport or to bathe in champagne surrounded of chavalitas) are at a height of another historical scoundrel: Joan Gaspart.
After two years of drought and more than clear end of the age Rijkaard, Laporta suffered a hard long pole when 60 % of the associates voted in favor of the motion of censoring (let’s remember that it is necessary 66 % so that the overthrow takes place). He needed a blow of effect in the stool that was fulfilling a double function: to turn the attention away and to serve as fender; he needed a type of the house that was following the style cruyffista. It had the wise move of allowing to advise well and chosen to occupy the stool it was Pep Guardiola, for trainer of that time of the Barca B. It was fulfilling the requisites with note: it had not been an anyone, but the whole captain, and of between the pupils of Johan Cruyff, it was the most outstanding.
Money box brought not only the best soccer that has never been seen in Barcelona (and in the whole world, if you purify me), but it did that his team was achieving the best list of winners of all the times: six qualifications in only one year. Although all this turned the attention of all away, it does not stop being true that Laporta is not already swallowed by anybody (perhaps Txiki, which lately seems to be very relaxed … either). In fact, I am sure of that if it could appear again in the next elections it would not win not even dreaming. And as the people who cannot be, cannot go away either, Laporta have tried to add everything what could to a résumé with many qualifications but few recommendations.
From the last summer it has got into debt in renewing every neighbor’s son. Some of them excused in the award to the merit, like those of Messi, Iniesta, Piqué or Valdés; others, on the pretext of which the end of the contract was approaching or there was certain dissatisfaction, like the Touré, Márquez or Puyol. The true thing is that almost none was covering too much hurry and I doubt very much that any of the canteranos was going so far as to force the machine, while the supposed losses of Márquez or Touré would not be the end of the world. Said this, the conclusion that we can extract is that Laporta had another intention: to finish off his government being able to say that it had left all the tied ends.
How only he has left a few months, the consequences do not matter for him in average or long term: the one that it avenges will meet tons of people with the longest contracts (and high salaries), to what it is necessary to add that has just spent 96 millions in two signings, 66 in Ibrahimovic (according to the calculations of the proper club) and 30 in Chygrynskiy (name for which I have still to use “copies and sticks”).
But he still had left something for doing this superhero who believes Laporta now when there is already will not come across with the hat of Of The Nest, made in kriptonita. He wants that Guradiola renews before it leaves, costs what it costs, while Pep prefers to hope that a new team of government should form, what is clear example of his nobility as person and, especially, a sample of that it puts to the club ahead of everything, even he. And Laporta is not ready to accept one not for answer and it seems that it is determined to take the disagreement to the public plane, thinking that at least it will stop badly to Money box. Wrong what is…
There has so many face that he dares to say that “the club needs an answer on his continuity before April”. The club not, Joan, the club not. The one that needs an answer are you, not the institution. One of two: or you are a visionary or you are more dumb than you seem, because Money box has turned into the guru of the barcelonismo. And not only for the qualifications or for the way of playing and of winning. The barcelonismo wants to Money box because it exemplifies like nobody the values of the club, because it is the face that the club wants to have (and not that of the photo): winning character, but from the humility; he bets for the quality but without insulting the work; Catalan and Catalan nationalist, but without closing on the outside nor to despise anybody.
As continue for these courses, Laporta is going to gain himself that Money box says publicly what we all think: that will not negotiate with the one that like much is a president pro tempore, for not calling him an ex-president, a personajillo that fortunately Barca is on the point of going out of Dog and to that the barcelonismo will remember more for his trickery than for the gained qualifications. And the fact is that not even the qualifications achieved during his order have been sufficient to mask his defects, because the achievements do not take his face, but that of Rijkaard, Ronaldinho, Deco, Eto’o, Belleti, Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Valdés, Messi, Piqué and a length etc. that precisely finishes in Money box.
