The scorers of Spain
Many people have been the forwards who have stuffed the T-shirt of “The Red one” from the distant Olympiad of Antwerp of 1920, date of the début of the Spanish selection of soccer. Big players who will not see his name between the best scorers of Spain owed fundamentally to that earlier so many people were not staking divided of character international. Men as Zarra, I Gave Stéfano or Lángara (this one by the war that truncated his career in Spain) does not appear between the five first ones, positions cornered by players of more recent epochs.
1.-Raúl (Madrid, 1977). 44 goals in 102 parties.

In spite of not having being summoned in the last three years he keeps on being the maximum scorer of “The Red one”. In spite of the debate on his absence, anything already overcome, nobody can discuss his big trajectory with the national cocktail. Only it was necessary to him to reach a big title with the selection for engrandecer even more his big list of winners with Real Madrid, his club of the whole life. It has taken part in two Euroglasses and three World cups.
2. – David Villa (Asturias, 1981). 33 goals in 53 parties.

The forward of the Valencia is named to overcome Raúl at the head of the scorers’ table. Eleven goals there does not look like a number difficult to manage for “The Gourd”. There takes a very high average (more than 0,6 goals for meeting) that makes very feasible that soon turns into the maximum scorer of the Spanish selection. Also it has obtained what one denied to Raúl, a big victory with the selection as it was the Euroglass of 2008 where also so many people were proclaimed a maximum scorer with four. Only his partner of selection Fernando Torres (two years younger) seems in conditions to him fight the first position with his 23 goals.
3. – Fernando Hierro (Malaga, 1968). 29 goals in 89 parties.

That the person from Malaga represents in the third position of the list has merit great. His position in the field, central defense or half a center (his most habitual position in the selection), is not most indicated to note down goals. Nevertheless it was going phenomenal of head, had a good shot and was throwing the penalties, what allowed him to command the scorers’ table for many years. Also it is necessary to admit that this fact does not speak very well about the forwards who shared stage with this legend of the madridismo.
4. – Fernando Morientes (Caceres, 1976). 27 goals in 47 parties.

Morientes, ex-of Real Madrid and Valencia between others, presents a good average scorer (more than 0,5 goals for party) but he lacked continuity in the national cocktail to increase his records scorers. It happened for periods of low form, like his stay in Liverpool, which they separated to him of the calls. Now it purifies his last soccer days in the Olympique of Marseilles.
5. – Emilio Butragueño (Madrid, 1963). 26 goals in 69 parties.

The successful soccer career of “The Vulture” with the T-shirt of Real Madrid did not turn out to be moved to the Spanish selection. This skillful forward lived through his golden moment in the World cup of Mexico of 1986, where it noted down four goals before Denmark, finishing the tournament with five so many people in the second position of the scorers’ table. Nevertheless the damned quarter finals crossed in his way and in that of the selection too many times, preventing from shining at the level that was doing it in his club.
